I am glad you posted this pic because now I believe I know that the peak in this pic to the right is Chief Joseph. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just thought it was part of the Hurwal Divide.

Yeah, that's gotta be Chief Joseph. I sure like your colors a lot better than mine - a gray sky flattens all the colors so much! When it comes time to work on the Oregon 100 highest list we should be able to do Hurwal Divide and Chief Joseph in one day, but I'm not sure which is the best approach. Maybe starting up the Thorp Creek trail and continuing to the Hurwal ridge, then going south the Hurwal summit, then north to Chief Joseph, then back down the trail. But there may be a shorter way with less EG - will have to study the roads and trails.
