Chimney Rock

Chimney Rock is located on Catoctin Mountain, northwest of Frederick and very near Thurmont. Here the view is looking toward the west, up the Hunting Creek Valley, which cuts through the mountain. There was even a small dusting of snow on this day in late November in the mountains of Maryland. (November 22, 2008)
