Short and fun
A beautiful summers day on the trail. They have still closed the peak due to the fire, but the platform gave great views with little cloud cover.

Chimney
I really enjoyed this hike. I did it with my wife and 2 daughters. The area is beautiful (I loved the Smoky Mountains). I was proud of my daughter for doing the final scramble to the top. This made the end part exciting. Views were great.
Awesome day hike! Fun scramble at the top! Will definitely do again!

Fun and easy
This is a really fun climb and not too challenging. I took my wife and daughter with me for this one and we all had a blast. Nice hike with a fun scramble at the top

Great Hike
Definitely strenuous hike coming up, but pretty short so not bad. Fun little all-fours climbing to the top of the chimney and beautiful views!!

Nice Summit Scramble
Was good to get a summit scramble in on an otherwise photography oriented trip. Traverse out to the north summit was cool.

Started super early because I had heard of this trails popularity and it paid off. Only one other couple on the trail ahead of me and I shortly passed them while they were taking a break. I ended up having the whole top to myself for a while and the couple got there right before I was ready to leave. On the way down however I ran into people left and right.

Fun Hike, Great View
Details same as Tioga's (below). Steep, fun hike, and the scramble down to the lower chimney well worth it!

Fun Peak
Climbed this with my brothers after spending 4 days on the AT in the park. Ate lunch on the lower chimney. This was a lot of fun to climb and play around on.

Very first summit
Drove to the Smokies on a side-trip and decided to park at this trailhead. Took my jeans, collared shirt, disposable water bottle to the summit and I have been hooked ever since! Loved the rock scramble to finish.

Chimney Tops
Went to Bonnaroo the last two years and camped out in the Smokies for a few days after the festival this year and last. I was very excited to come back and do this hike for a second time exactly a year later. The mountain laurel was in full bloom, and the view is beautiful. I anticipate doing it again in 2012.
Even in March, you're never without a lot of people around you, including crying kids being dragged up the steep hill by their fathers. The scramble at the end cleared them off but not all the teenagers and college students. Great views from the top.

Fun Climb
I hiked this trail in September with my mother. She wanted to quit mulitiple times but I convinced her to press forward. After about a half and hour of climbing up the rocks we finnaly made it. It was definitely a fun hike.
... on a beautiful day in June 2002. And some with an interesting choice of footwear, at least on the trail. Needless to say, not everybody was too keen on the final scrambling, but I liked it!
It briefly rained twice when I was on my way up; the second time was when I was very close to the summit. I waited the rain out, and it wasn't enough to make the rocks slippery. It was pretty crowded at the top in spite of the heat and humidity.

Chimney Tops Trail
Started the hike in the rain. It eventually stopped raining but the summit rocks were still a little dangerous from being slick, but still made it to the top.

1st Timer
This was my first mountain. Being from Indiana, I had never hiked or climbed anything larger than a hill before. Upon reaching the top I discovered the allure of the mountains - an awakened feeling that continues to push me to new heights.
