Cobra Arch

Cobra Arch

Paria Canyon Cobra Arch is located in the Coyote Buttes area(near the Wave). This is one of the more spectacular arches I have seen. It really looks like a cobra.

Tanya...

There's a chance I'll be visiting
at East Zion next month. I have a
'window of opportunity' coming up.

This looks like a nice cobra, but
I like the hat even better! Thanks
for posting, and watch out for
snakes and stuff.
(What kind of camera? Looks like a small TV set!!!)

Re: Tanya...

It's heavy to tote around! It's an 8 megapixel Olympus digital. The bigger the hat - the less wrinkles I get fromt he sun ! ;) Are you still on a quest for Mollie and her nipples?

Mollie

and her what? No, I'm just going to play it
by ear. Probably take that trail above Weeping Rock up on top; overlooking Angels Landing. Nothing fancy, just waterfalls and flowers. I'd like to take pictures of sandstone and formations in the Mojave Desert
and such. Perhaps do some hikes or scrambles around Bridge Mountain and East Temple. Do you have a specific area where wildflowers come up, like the poppies here in Arizona?
I still need to purchase a southern Utah hiking book. They named it 'slickrock' for a reason, right? Have a nice day, Tanya!!!
Don't get too much sun, like I did over the
past 15 years. It can make you spoiled! Possibly turn you into a prune or apricot,
or maybe a tangerine or pomegranate!

Re: Cedar Breaks!

That is where you want to go around here for Wildflowers. They have a festival every year there too to celebrate all the flowers. As far as books go I like the Falcon guide best for the Zion area, but if you want Zion information nothing beats http://www.zionnational-park

There is tons of information on it!

If you ever hike on slickrock in the winter you will understand ;)
