Dramatic Summit ViewsOur second time up Corbett. We look at it from our back porch in Ridgway, CO so it's a big draw. Climbed it from a point about a mile west of what the page author recommends. Will try to upload a map image (with purple route lines). LOTS of downed timber to climb over. Elk trails are your friend on the ascent. VERY steep slog up the summit talus cone. A somewhat exposed traverse over to the true summit - a bit south of the first high point. Some debris found from the tragic plane crash in 2005.

lovely day outNice day out by myself... used crampons, bushwhack from meadows off Dallas Trail, tons of fallen trees, great views from the summit.
