10.8miles On The Beacons
A fine day for my 5th time up on the Brecon Beacons.
Start from A470 car park 10.30am
Clear and sunny but gusts of about 45mph out on the tops.
Covered. Corn Du - Pen Y Fan - Cribyn - Fan Y Big. Then down south in the valley to the Neuadd Reservoir. After a nice snack break at the dam we then head back up on to the west ridge.
Return via. Twyn Mwyalchod Trig Point - Graig Fan Ddu - Craig Gwaun Taf and Bwlch Duwynt.
Back to A470 car park at 18.00pm
Complete route done in 7.5hours including stopping breaks.
I hiked up Corn Du and Pen Y Fan a number of years back, while I was staying with a friend in Abergavenney. All in all, it was a very pleasant hike, with a rewarding view from the top.
I have only ventured to this part of Wales to climb once, and did all four, must do something about it though. I remember caving there too but not too sure where.

On my many tripsI think I've been on Corn Du most times I've been to the Brecon Beacons. I've lost count.
