Drove to 5240 Feet
Drove most of the way up the mountain in my Subaru and hiked the last 600 vertical feet with Heather. This cleared up a failed attempt I had from Spring 2007.

Kind of surreal to be up on this mountain with no snow and no skiers.

Cowboy Mountain
Cheated and took the lift, although I may get to it someday if other plans fall through. Wouldn't do it as the main objective of a trip, as it seems marred by the ski area.

Over and down...
Many great ski runs down the backside to the highway.

Lazy Way Up
I took the ski lift to about 400 feet from the summit, then hiked the rest of the way. Had some great views, a few little cornices. And yes I've hiked other parts of the mountain so I'm not a total cheater.

Fun day
Snowshoed up here and enjoyed the views and terrain after the ski area closed for the season
I summited Big Chief Mountain first, then Cowboy Mountain second, via the ridge connecting the two peaks. I was shocked how open and straightforward the summit route for Big Chief Mountain was, but surprised at how steep and rugged the summit route for Cowboy Mountain was (via this traverse). Fog ruined most of the potential views from the two summits.

good times
Good times on Stevens pass. made it to the top as part of the OSAT crew. "Should we, ah, should we take the couch with us??"

great day!
lots of mean cornices on top, soft and mushy all along the ridge from there. kicking steps facilitated by party of 60, otherwise summit might have been doubtful.
