Steep!  Sucess!

Came up the east side from A-007, thought it was steep. Then came down the south side and found out the true meaning of steep! The east route is much better. It was a beautiful day though, mid 80's.

Crazy people  Sucess!

What were we thinking?! Bushwhacking to the top of these ordinarily not so difficult hills six weeks after my having recovered from a broken leg and my wife delivered our daughter?! We were crazed! Fortunately all went well and it was a beautiful day. If all that was not enough, a few lunatic javelinas were after us!

Long Day  Sucess!

Pretty cold and rocky. We went up one slope and down another so we had hiked more than we needed to. Great views of all the interesting mountains surrounding. From the summit you have clear views of the Organ Mountains and even Mexico.

Rocky, loose and steep  Sucess!

Took the north slope -- very rocky and loose, but a lot of fun. Great summit views of multiple mountain ranges and volcanic field. Perfect winter day in the desert, sunny with temps in the mid-30s. Great summit!
