Crestone Needle, 03/28/09

Paul and I decided to have a winter camping / climbing adventure. We'd spent lots of time winter climbing peaks in the Front Range and Central Rockies. It was time for something completely different. After driving by the Sand Dunes for 20+ years, looking up at the beautiful peaks above, I was ready to dive in and see what was up there.

We left the Front Range mid day Friday, 3/27/09, drove to Pueblo and then onto Westcliffe. Arriving at the trailhead late in the day, we were ready to start the 6-7 mile ski at 5 pm.

Time travel in the Sangres?

Wow, your trip report indicates you and your climbing partner made it a day on Crestone Needle on Friday 27th March 2009. Looking at my calendar, that day is two weeks in the future from today. ;) Maybe you meant...2008?
