Cross on Round Mountain G

View to the southwest from the summit of Round Mountain G (elev. 5,977 ft.) near Tularosa, New Mexico. White Sands National Monument is on the horizon and the Round Mountain Road turnoff from US Hwy 70 is at the bottom right. The cross was placed on the summit in 1957 in commemoration of The Battle of Round Mountain in 1868. Photo taken 9/2/07.
