Views!
Easy hike to the summit, you have to go around summit block to find easy way to climb last part. Best views of Sangres ever!

Curly Peak Solo
Turned this into a two day hike, camping in a sheltered area east of the summit with great views of the Sangres. Fun little scramble at the top. The weather was fabulous.

Better Than Expected
Views from the summit better than anticipated, another great vantage point for the Sangres and seeing the Peregrines was a bonus!

Another Beautiful Day
Another wonderful winter day for a hike up Curley Peak. Hiked to Curley via Stultz Trail rather than Tanner or Bear Gulch Trails. I enjoy Stultz Trail more than either Tanner or Bear Gulch, being less torn up by ATVs. As always, spectacular views of the Sangres from atop the Wet Mountains. Winter of 2012-2013 may be extremely dry, but what a great winter for hiking!!!
Loved this trip up Curley, Incredible views of the Sangres. We went right after hunting season, and didn't see another person all day. My guess is about 9,10 miles round trip, from the Tanner dome parking?

Via Bear Creek
I grabbed Stimpy the dog and visited both highpoints of Curley Peak along with UN 9245. It was a nice, mostly quiet day. I had all of the peaks to myself and met only a few very friendly ATVers / trailbikers on the trails. Pretty disgusted by the climbers on the cliffs during the closures. These selfish folks make us all look bad!
