My cousin took me up there and we met a guy from Minnesota manning the lookout so felt like a small world

Cyclone Lookout
An easy couple of miles to a truly impressive view of Glacier Park's Livingstone Range. The first third is on a closed, near-level USFS road, and the trail beyond is a mix of gentle pitches and unnecessarily steep upgrade. The sunrise view from the top is extraordinary.
This is a relatively good early- and late-season hike. The lookout is usually staffed between early July and mid-September; if the lookout invites you up, the view from the catwalk clears the trees and is a vast improvement over that from ground level.
