"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Spur o' the momentQuick last minute trip up after doing a loop with Mount Helen, Eagle Pk, and Ski Heil Pk. Great view of that ridge between Brokeoff and Lassen Pk. Traversed the ridge to the southeast until several footholds/handholds popped. This volcanic pebble encrusted outcrop is not as solid in places as it looks-travel with caution.

Memorial Day SnowshoeingHiked along the park road from Southwest Campground past Sulfur Works to where the road traversed the ridge-line. There, we strapped on our snowshoes and waddled through 10 foot deep snow to the summit. Fun winter adventure for a memorial day weekend!

North SlopeWhile I noticed at least one easier route up, the view from the road to the peak of the way I took called out. Leaving the car at a sizable, paved turnout, I followed the creek for a bit, then hit snow and just made like a mountain goat straight for the top.

Quick snowshoe tripEnjoyed a nice somewhat more relaxing day following a long one covering Mount Helen, Bumpass Mountain, Bumpass Hell, and Mount Conard. Great place to visit in the spring!
