Easy fun
My son and I waled Dollar Ridge for an hors d'oeuvre before heading up Pete's Point. It seemed just about as easy to hike up the ridge and down to tenderfoot pass as to drop into the basin below Dollar Lake and hike back up. Sweet views, especially to the south! Don't think I'd plan a trip around this one, but highly recommended if you're passing by.

after Aneroid
quick hike up from the saddle after climbing Aneroid. Not much to this mountain but excellent views to Cusick Mountain. Tenderfoot trailhead highly recommended.

Route: Howard, East, Hidden, Aneroid, and Dollar Peak
Hiked the North Ridge from near Dollar Lake after descending from a traverse of East Peak, Hidden Peak, and Aneroid Mountain via the Mount Howard tram. Descended the East Fork Trail to Wallowa Lake. The tram's extended summer hours provided an earlier start than otherwise.

Followed up Android with this one
After a morning summit of Aneroid Peak with the "Masters of Oregon P2K" (Dennis, Bob, and Ken) I followed Dennis and Bob across the saddle and up to the summit of this nice little peak. Long hike back to the Tenderfoot TH.

Route: Northeast Ridge
Was surprised by the views from this peak. Easy hike up the northeast ridge of Dollar Peak. This was the final peak of the day and I wasn't disappointed. I sat at the high point, signed the register, and enjoyed the views down the E Fork Wallowa River then made the traverse to the west to Tenderfoot Pass. I set up a camp below Pete's Point for the eve then walked up Pete's the next day.

Rest Day?
Supposed to be a rest day at camp but I got bored at Dollar Lake and hiked up to check out this ridge. Didn't know it was a summit but found a small plastic container with a register so I signed it. Weird huge reddish crickets at the summit along with tons of grasshoppers and flying ants. Descended a talus gully about halfway along the ridge back to Dollar Lake.

Back side
Pat and I climbed this on our way back to Dollar Lake from the summit of Pete's Point. We crossed meadows on the south side, then ascended a gulley to the main col west of the summit. We followed the ridge to the summit, then descended to camp at Dollar Lake via the east ridge.
I hiked in from Tenderfoot Trailhead with a couple friends and set up camp at Dollar Lake. We summited Aneroid that night, and my friends decided they were too tired to attempt any other peaks the next day. I set out alone in the morning to hit Pete's Point and attempted to traverse the N slopes of Dollar Ridge... bad idea. I maded it over to Petes and decided to hit up Dollar Ridge on the way back instead of decending into the basin and hiking back up to the lake. I was glad I did as it had some great views from the summit.
