On 5/24/21, I left a goggle case w/two lenses at a medium boulder a few hundred feet above the lake where we transitioned. If found, I will pay for shipping and give a $30 reward. Jackson (205) Six 1 Three 9 Oh 2 Three. I will delete the Lost and Found message after a spell to avoid cluttering this thread.
Conditions on 5/24: Trail to emerald lake had 3 or 4 blank patches. Flattop trail also uncovered/inconstistently covered for the first mile and a half or so. The left fork of the couloir had a 6 or 8 foot deep bergshcrund below a partially covered rock step (spooky to step over). Otherwise still snow all the way up. Effectively no cornice over the left fork. Saw some pretty big cornice over the right fork (Incissor?) and over on Dead Elk.

Don't know why I had put off this super quick and accessible training run. An easy route to do laps on.

Left Branch
Took the left branch. Great snow conditions. Bit of fairly easy icy rock near top. Nice climb, especially considering the short and easy approach.
Sarah-
Was there still quite a bit of snow in the couloir and what did the base (apron) look like when you climbed it last? Did you go solo?
Thanks.

Nice Route
Long day since we roped up the entire route to practice simul climbing, although this is definitely not needed. Great setting.

Deep snow in June
Deep snows this year made this climb very straightforward, like climbing a really long slushy staircase. There was a small piece of ice in at the rock step, but I wish there had been about 100 meters more!

Quite Scenic
Very scenic but somewhat boring climb. Was expecting more based on Cooper's book, but the route was very filled in during early 2011.

early season climb
A very enjoyable couloir climb. A chunk of snow from the walls above us almost took out Heather... scary! The exit was my favorite part.

Sweet Climb
Thanks to the warm winter the snow in the couloir was pretty nice for a March climb. The sidewall however decided to shed a layer down on us. The crux still had enough snow on it that it seemed more like a short class 3 scramble. A great climb overall!
This was a fun and fast climb with Haliku. We had a moment of mutual respect with the skiers about to descend.

Dragon's Tail Couloir
I climbed with slowpoke. The couloir had somewhere around a foot of new snow in it covering the wet and poorly consolidated snow underneath. The climb consisted of a relentless plowing upward to form a trench. It was good that there was a big group of us up there to break trail! Plenty of spindrift blowing up the couloir, with a couple of small snow slides near the top. Did I mention that it felt freaking cold! What month was it again? It sure felt like a winter climb!

First of the season
First couloir of the season! Conditions varied from really stable avy debris to complete sugar powder - but no slabs forming up the whole length.
