Dragon's Tail

Dragon's Tail

The ridge extending south from Reynolds towards the headwall separating the Hidden Lake area from the Sperry Glacier area-- the ridge is called the Dragon's Tail. The bowl holding Hidden Lake is in shadow at the lower right. Some of the cliffs are clearly visible, though. The deep couloirs on the east face are clearly visible. A goat trail traverses the face and reaches the right-side couloir. Class 3 scrambling on the ledges to the right of the couloir gets you to the summit ridge. The highpoint is on the left; it is not the summit that appears to be the highest point in this picture. Mount Edwards is behind the Dragon's Tail, and Mount Brown is on the right.
