I've eyed this peak from many others in the surrounding area. It rises quite impressively above it's surroundings. Though "only" 12K ft, there is no other higher peak north of it in the Sierra. And that should make for impressive views. Nice job on the page!
Also, I think there may be no Sierra peak north of Dunderberg that is higher. Maybe Matterhorn Peak(?). Kind of a dumb fact, but it does act as a predictor of the peak's visibility and prominence. (OOPS....looks like Bob (snwburd) beat me to this fact!)
