During backpacking trip
After sleeping on El Cap, continued on our trip and bagged Eagle as a side trip. Great views, much better than El Cap. Nice little spots to camp, just not very close to water.

Long hike for an unsurpassed view of Yosemite Valley
If you’re gonna do the Yosemite Falls trail go a little further for this awesome treat.

Great Views of the Valley
Started from Big Oak Flat Road and hit El Cap on the way. The views from the top were gorgeous! Definitely some of the best views of the valley. Descended via the Falls Trail. Had to hike through a lake at one point because of all the snowmelt.

What a night on Eagle Peak!
Fruitstripe and I went up Yosemite Falls trail (Dry). Stayed one night on top. Simply amazing. Then it rained hard. Yosemite Falls was no longer dry. Watch your step coming down this in the rain.
Solo hike during a gorgeous spring morning. Saw a bob cat on the switchbacks coming up and a total of 10 people all day - that is, until coming down. Busy trail to the waterfall in the afternoon! Beautiful ridge line hiking and couldn't help but think "wow, this area started it all - the entire national park system." If it wasn't for the tourist trap in the valley, could see myself coming back more often.

From Yosemite Falls with El Cap
Went up Yosemite Falls trail and after making a side visit to Yosemite Point came back over to get Eagle Peak then continued on to El Capitan before descending back down the Falls trail. Great day! Trip report is HERE.

Via Upper Falls
Started as part of my hike to El Capitan via the Upper Falls. It was 95 degrees plus. The start of the hike totally destroys you. I've never hiked so slow... The signs do not match maps. Hiked with a guy named Brian from the second junction after the Upper Falls.
Great views!

Yosemite Falls Trail
Perfect fall day. Views from the top are as good as it gets. Saw a bear on the way up and another on the way down near Columbia Rock. The falls were flowing again after the recent storms. I highly recommend this hike.

January Ascent via the Yosemite Falls Trail
About one foot of fresh snow on the trail from the top of the falls to the summit. Extremely clear view with the recent storm passing and no crowds in the Valley.
Very memorable overnight outing camped out near the top of the falls.

Overcast valley
Met a guy from Russia, Dimitri, who did Telescope Peak from Hanupah Canyon in one day on the way down from Eagle. That's 11,000 ft.! Maybe he embellished the story a little.

Nice addition to falls...
Climbed this as an addition to the upper falls trail. Had trouble deciding whether to hit North Dome, El Cap or this, but I chose Eagle Peak due to the encroaching nightfall. Didn't see much due to THICK fog, but had a great time on the way down as the fog left the valley.

Via Yosemite Falls
A steep climb up past the falls, with a nice scramble to finish. Well worth skipping El Cap.
