Too snowy
Heading up this way was very snowy and steep and I tired myself out near treeline. I can't wait to try again!

Windy Climb on the East Ridge
My longtime friend and climbing buddy, Nathan, and I decided to try and get out early for our first climb this year and Humboldt somehow caught our attention so on we wet. We chose to head up the East Ridge via rainbow trail route which turned out to be a great idea. The bushwhack wasn't too bad and the ridge itself is a walkup. The only problem we ran into was the high winds above treeline which were constantly shifting and then starting and stopping. But other than that, it was a fantastic route to take and since it isn't in Roach's or Dawson's guides, it isn't as crowded as other parts of the mountain might be.
