Do you know the distance and elevation gain for this route from the wilderness boundary?
According to Roach, the one-way distance is 5.2 miles and the total elevation gain is 4280 feet. This last figure accounts for the elevation to be re-gained after descending from Elk Tooth to the low point of the ridge.
