XC Ski Tour
We took advantage of the low-elevation snow to XC ski from the parking lot all the way to the summit. The south route has a great grade for XC skis. The weather and snow conditions were pristine.
The one downer was the well-intentioned post-holer who followed our pristine track up, thus demolishing it for our run down.

A decent workout
rainy at the bottom, snow at the top. No visibility today so nothing much to see at the top. Not that exciting but a good place to train when you don't have time to do an all day trip to snoqualmie pass, rainier, olympics, etc.
Went up with Madelyn after being called off work. A little crowded for my liking, but we started late, so that was quickly fixed. A friend told me to go up West Tiger 3 to the summit, but the summit it wasn't! It was a bald outcropping covered with people and dogs (mostly cute, though)! After watching people dump gallons of water needlessly and birds being fed, we decided that it was time to find the true summit!
A slight descent from West Tiger 3, followed by a short gain, led to West Tiger 2. The summit was a microwave tower, so we weren't quite there yet. We saw a guy coming from the direction of what seemed to be the true summit and asked him where the true summit was. He asked a question back, "Which one, 1, 2, or 3?" He didn't even seem to know if he summited! The distinctions of peaks in these state parks is kind of goofy, with names giving directions and numbers before true details. Nevertheless, we found a dirt road to the top...to find a another microwave tower!
This one, though, had a view!
Great view of Seattle and the sound in one direction and the Cascades in the other!!! Well worth the fuss!

East Tiger
A nice easy road walk to a summit with some views towards the south. Bring your picnic lunch as there is a picnic table at the summit below the towers.

A Little Get Out
I think it was Nov. 27, oh well it doesn't matter that much. But it was a quick trip to the top, with views of trees and a tower.

East TigerI pretty much only snowshoe this when the driving is lame enough that you don't want to go far in winter.
