I used a rough connector trail from Echo Basin to the ridge just east of North Peak. The connection to the basin trail is a little hard to spot but it is near the top of the loop at the second puncheon bridge if doing the loop counter clockwise. I posted a track on Peakbagger.

Wish it wasn't foggy
My brother and I hiked up the long ridge past North Peak. We left the road too early and bushwacked too much at the start. It was foggy with no views, so we passed right on by the ridge down to the summit of Echo. We backtracked and found the right ridge, but were running low on time by then. We hiked up the ridge to a point that seemed like the highest point, but we couldn't really see very far. Were we really on the true summit? Maybe, maybe not, but if not we were mighty close (we did have a gps and we were in the highest contours). No views to see anyways. It rained the whole time, so we were wet the whole time too. On the plus side, we found a big patch of alpine strawberries to snack on. A slightly eerie hike in the fog and clouds, but definitely a hike I will remember despite the limited views.

East Ridge
Hiked (bushwacked) up from Road 192 off Toad Creek Road. Beautiful day, excellent views. I think the Cone Peak/South Peak route would be more fun and scenic.

Bushwhack
Hiked up from Tombstone Pass. Tons of smoke in the air, could barely make out the silhouette of Jack, couldnt see the Sisters at all. Skipped Cone Peak and Iron Mountain.

Seven Summits
Climbed Iron Mountain, then Cone Peak, then South Peak, Then Echo Mountain, then North Peak, then back over Echo Mountain, then back over South peak. Lots of snow along the entire route. Snow was hard frozen in shaded areas and soft in sunny area. Temperatures were warm, 30's - 40's. The ridge between Echo Mountain and North Peak very icy and had a good amount of fall hazard. Crampons and ice axe would be advised. I did this in trekking poles and ice axe to cut wieght, but it was a little trecherous.

False Start
My girlfriend and I didn't make the summit, but that was our own mistake. We accidentally started walking up NFD 055 Rd. and hiking the Echo Basin Trail instead of going farther east onto NFD 2065 Rd. in order to get above and along the ridge that goes to the summit.
We made it into the basin created by the half circle of the Echo Mountain main summit, the eastern ridge and North Peak. Only 300 feet from the summit, but from the basin its almost a sheer wall. Gonna try again soon, but on the correct route.

Route Climbed: Toad Creek Road
It was a great time, left the car around 3:00 PM and returned around 12:00 AM, fun stuff.
We had a late start of after 3. We made the summit seemingly fast and decided to hike over to bag cone peak as well. Our pace was good but the daylight began to fade as we started our return trip down echo mountain. Route finding in the dark became very slow and in no time it was complete darkness. We had one keychain LED light to provide assistance. The real fun started once we came off the ridge and began looking for the road. For way too long a time we bushwacked through dense brush searching in all directions until finally we stumbled across a road.

Great Ridge Walk
One of my favorites -To walk along a ridge with constant views of the entire area! This was so much fun, I wish there would have been more time to get over to the neighboring peaks as well. Going to have to plan another trip here soon!
