During Elkhorn Crest Hike
Hiked from Marble Pass, climbed Elkhorn Peak with Sally, Andy, and Danielle, then camped at Twin Lakes. Saw a couple mountain goats but not nearly as many as the previous time I was here.

Easy but fun
I've been up to climb Rock Creek Butte before, figured I'd come back and get Elkhorn. Easy but very scenic trail to Twin Lakes and up to the saddle at the intersection of the Elkhorn Crest trail. Goat trail to the summit and back down again. Car to car in less than 5 hours from Twin Lakes TH makes for a perfect afternoon jaunt.

Excellent early season climb, snow covered the entire ridge leading to the summit. Traversed over to Rock Creek Butte then returned to Twin Lakes and out to the car.

Sense of humor.
I was drug up this rediculous mt. by two hikers with a sense of humor. I couldn't walk for 2 days... Thanks CalebEOC and Cascadetravelor... The goats were cool though I think we counted over 30.

Watch out for for goat crossing.
I scrambled up this worthy peak with Caleb EOC and Calebs brother Luke. We started from Marble Creek TH and proceeded down the Elkhorn crest trail. The crest trail was exhilerating running at 8000 ft and offering up commanding views of eastern Oregon. I was taken by suprise as I stumbled upon a goat crossing a high saddle between false summits. We also did an exposed descent off the n.w side of the mountain. Good Times!

Did this as part of a four day backpack in the Elkhorns. Hiked from Lost Lake to Twin Lakes the day before. Saw lots of goats in the morning on my way up from Twin Lakes. Great views on a nearly cloudless day. I did Rock Creek Butte after this one, and then headed to Summit Lake for the night.

Climbed from a camp at Goodrich Lake with Moni and Bill Bowes Jr..
We climbed on skis nearly to the summit and finished by foot. We were in a raging snowstorm and had absolutely marvelous deep powder skiing on the northeast side of the peak for our descent.

Started at 7 am and made Twin Lakes by 9. Took some photos and rested there then up the switchbacks to the saddle. Met Ken Jones there, a friend of Bob Bolton and Dean Molen and Dennis Poulin's. Headed up the ridge to the summit after watching the goats move around the vertical east face. Spooked one on my way up. The ridge was easier than I expected. Descended back down to the saddle and then on over to Rock Creek Butte.
