Re: Hopefully they take it out

In my truck I carry a saw capable of sawing through a tree that size. I shudder at the thought of having a tree fall on the road trapping me behind it hence the reason for the saw. Some people were trapped at the Colchuck Lake-Stuart Lake trailhead a couple years back when a tree fell on the access road and they spent an extra day there while they waited for the right people to come along and clear it. However, in this pic, wouldn't it be possible to get the motorcycle under the tree on the left side or over it on the right?

Re: Hopefully they take it out

I might have been able to get under on the left side but didn't want to take a chance of tipping over in the ditch. Those branches are bigger than they look in this shot and would have been a trick to deal with. Also the bike is bigger than it looks and at just over 400 pounds, going over wouldn't have been an option. A dirt-bike could have made it. It's true about trees falling though. Last year a massive one fell right next to me after several days of heavy rain. May be I should ride with a chainsaw strapped to my back. I would look like a badass and get all the girls.

You would look like chainsaw willy which probably wouldn't be good. What kind of bike is that? I did assume it was lighter than it appears and yes, going over or under wasn't an option for you.

Looks Like a Honda Nighthawk (400 lbs?), come on Adam, you climb mountains, you can do this.

I with Deano, bring a axe or a chainsaw with you next time . . .LOL

Steve is Right, It is a nighthawk 650 weighing in at 197 kg (434.3 lb). I'm going to sell it today because I just bought a new bandit 1200.
