Nice little day hike if you have a few hours to spare.

Not the Usual Way
Made this into an 11-miler by hiking from my "dorm" room at YMCA of the rockies. Did a lot of solo bushwacking and ran into the largest bear I've every seen! It was so brown in color, but I think that's typical of the few black bears in RMNP.

Great Hike
Great hike, the last half mile was very steep and you just half to keep going. Awesome views on the top. When we were there it was very windy and chilly.
2nd time up, first time with Shannon - thanks for a great hike! Last part is steep but makes the summit that much more rewarding.

Snowshoe Ascent
My first summit on snowshoes. Actually had to take them off to tackle the rocky bits at the top. Lost track of the actual trail from Storm's Pass, so it was probably harder than it should have been.

A magnet for bad weather
A fun and challenging hike, the most surprising part was being chased from the final scramble by a sudden storm. Just 30 feet from the summit, hail and lightning dropped down from Longs and we sprinted to safety at Storm Pass.

From Longs Peak Trailhead
Hiked up Estes Cone from the Longs Peak Trailhead with my brother. Nice hike with a side trip to the Eugenia Mine site.

A Father Son Summit
I took my 7 year old son for a week of camping at the "Park" and we decided to try this mountain out. It was a spectacular morning of hiking. We summitted early and had the top to ourselves. It will always be a great memory for me, being there with him. We both loved the small outcropping climb at the top.
Final peak of the radical slam. It took just over 12h to reach peak #7, but we made it. The summit is a craggy out cropping, neat finish, but the trail is steep and in poor shape at the top.

First Summet Ever
This was my first real summit ever. Woohoo! It's not K2, but you gotta start somewhere. It was a nice walk up. There were a few other ppl on the trail, and it rained at the top. Not much view. The scramble at the top was probably the most fun.

Longs Peak Trailhead
My wife and I climbed this on a nice clear sunny day in May. Unfortunately the sunny weather resulted in some wet deep snow. We made the summit but by the time we got back to the car our feet were soaked and swimming inside our boots.

Love the views
The first time was with my brother in 2005, but I have been back five times, usually with first time hikers. Nice hike to introduce people to the park and hiking in general.
