Amazing...butterfly. I am amazed by the size and the primary color.
Great catch, and thanks for posting.

Re: Amazing...So cool! Did you see any butterflies in the
Philippines?

Re: Amazing...Yes, I saw some really beautiful butterflies in the Philippines. They were more beautiful than most of the European species. What surprised me was that in Europe in the summer months there are much-much more butterflies than in the Philippines at any time. And surely it's not because of my visit in the Philippines in a wrong month: I had trips to nature there almost in all months.
I uploaded to SP only 3 photos of butterflies from the Philippines - the ones that you have already seen a few months ago. I couldn't take many more photos of them because they were always moving with almost no rest ;) And moreover there are SP members who hate butterflies on SP: I don't want to irritate them :)
By the way, which city is your wife from?

Re: Amazing...Ahh, in Leyte in the south... I have never been there. The southernmost city I have been to was Calapan on Mindoro.
About irritating people: yes, sometimes

Re: Amazing...Even when I try to avoid conflicts, I still
land in the middle - kind of like an innocent
butterfly, riding out the waves of a storm..
Yes, the southern part of the Philippines has
many caves, but it's very hot and humid.
I'd like to visit the northern part!

Re: Amazing...Telling the truth also the northern part is very hot and humid. Except on a few days or weeks in "winter". At that time the temperature can go down to 25 degree and humidity down to 60-70%
