I was glad to hear that you were successful on Whorl. I tried two summers ago but the confusion of the various chutes burned up to much time and we had to turn back. Your pictures should be helpful for staying on route next time!

The chutes on Whorl are surprisingly difficult to navigate, more than one would guess. But that's also part of the alure of this route. Figuring it all out was great fun. Good luck on your next attempt, and thanks for the vote!

Glorious!Great trip report. My plans are to hit Yellowstone/Tetons in two years. Year after that it's Yosemite for sure.
