West Face from 60 Lakes
We'd backpacked into the 60 Lakes basin and decided to tackle Fin Dome after setting up camp and a short swim. Some challenging route-finding shortly above the talus fan (including a big cairn that led us astray) but after a couple backtracks, we found several options for Class 3-4 on excellent rock without much exposure. Very fun climbing. I think we were the first to sign the register this year.

FUN!
Did this as a side trip on a JMT thru-hike that included lots of extra peaks. Decided to do this one pretty spur of the moment. Mostly because it looked so fun. Didn't really find the class 3 route until the decent, but the climb was a blast. Would totally do it again if I were in the area.

West Face
Wes and I did this as a side excursion during our Rae Lakes loop backpack with the wives and some friends. Tricky route finding but lots of fun.

Interesting route finding and climb with Jed and Chad.
Climbed as a sidetrip from Charlotte Lake. Tried to find the class 3. No success. But whatever I climbed was fun. Probably class 4. View from summit is amazing. Beautiful lakes all the way around. Climbed past some rap slings on the way down.

Clarence King byproduct
Clarence King day hike attempt aborted due to thunderstorm threat. Fin Dome became an alternative. Fun little climb

Beautiful day, trying to day hike Clarence King but pooped out at the newly named "quitters meadow". Was the nicest alternative possible to not summiting Clarence King. We didn't use a rope, was a little exposed, but a rope is only necessary for piece of mind.

Consolation prizeConsolation prize for an attempted day-trip on Clarence King. "Class 3" if you have route-finding clairvoyance.
