Final steps to summit of The Watchman

Final steps to summit of The Watchman

My partners taking the final steps to the summit of the Watchman, a hard-earned peak. Once we finally found our way through the confusing gully system, I hit the turbo to maximize my chances of reaching the summit before our 3:30pm turnaround time when the boys would force me to give up :). It was nice having some alone time up there. Zion National Park, Utah. March 2009.

Congratulations ...

So, the West Face is a viable option? That's
incredible, it looks so terribly steep on that
side. Job very well done !!!

Thanks!

The West Face is very steep but considerable routefinding allows passage with 3rd & 4th class scrambling (although we felt the crux was 5.easy, not 4th class).
