Flinsch Peak
Went from Two Med Lake up to Dawson then Flinsch. Great views but so cold and windy. The scramble at the top was fun, but I was not enjoying the scree that day. Still beautiful.

Above the clouds
Climbed the East Ridge from Rising Wolf. Solid route with good class 3 options up top. Clouds were being held back by the Continental Divide to the West and toping out at about 8,400 feet. To the East there wasn't a cloud in site. All the giants to the SW-NW were poking out above the clouds and Flinsch was right on the edge. Incredible.

Rocks in the rucksack.
Incorporated in the Dawson Pitamaken loop. The rest of the party were happy to sit out the climb from the pass but I was determined to top out. Seemingly I took too long so they placed large rocks in my rucksack that a I had left with them at the pass. It was a very long walk back to the camp site at Two Med.
The climb was unpleasant with a great deal; of loose rock and shale. In the final summit cone was very crumbly but most rewarding. All on my own on the summit gave an amazing feeling.
Eventual return home to campsite delayed as path closed due to recent bear activity so detour around far side of lake required. Exceptionally tired.

Very nice scramble
Penelope and I scrambled up this very photogenic peak in July of 2017. We liked the steep scramble to the top, on decent rock. The views were great from the summit.

A bitterly cold day slowed me down a bit, but it was a spectacular day. Long mileage, but not difficult, otherwise. Barely another soul in sight all day.

Outstanding Weather
Climbed from the North Shore trailhead to Dawson Pass and back. Amazing views. Didn't have enough time to try for Helen, but maybe next time.
climbed in combination with Rising Wolf (South Slope) and Mt. Helen.

Fantastic
A long approach and being situated in Two Medicine makes this one a rare gem at Glacier with almost no one else on top. Dawson Pass will see traffic though. Goats and humans. Met a herd of goats and a pair of scouts on the goat trail. Also grabbed Morgan and Helen on the same day. Skipped Rising Wolf, which fits somewhere between one of the great shames of my life and a mild disappointment. I mean the views I got were magnificent, but I do regret not adding Rising Wolf. I got back to my tent doing 20+ miles and 3 peaks by 7 pm so I guess I had time, but maybe not the legs. Don't miss it.
After doing Rising Wolf, Rod & I went up Flinch. The summit block was fun.

Climbed with a huge group and spent the night at no name. Saw a moose swim across the lake and got to pack raft across the lake with a duck swimming just a few feet away. Ended the evening with birthday whiskey.
