Floe Lake and the Rockwall at sunrise
On September 24th, 2011, I was fortunate enough to camp overnight at Floe Lake, in Kootenay National Park. The next morning, I charged up to Numa Pass in the darkness by headlamp, and patiently awaited the rising sun. And when it came, it didn't disappoint. The above image was shot literally seconds before the sun was obscured by clouds for the remainder of the day. Good thing my alarm worked!
