For several miles

this is what the Elbow Canyon road looked like but this wasn't the worst section. Oftentimes I felt like I was driving up a creek bed and I was glad I had my 6 ply tires on (and I always carry two spares to deal with roads like this). It was nice to have Dennis able to spot me in a couple places and we were able to get up this road and later on, back down. This pic was taken fairly close to the top of Elbow Canyon and the rocks would soon ease when we hit the pass. Pic taken by Dennis 5-3-11
