Normally there's a ford across Slough Creek here that takes you up the Buffalo Plateau Trail. But the water in June 2008 was, uh, a bit high and Slough Meadow #1 was a good-size lake. Our planned loop became an out-and-back. Buffalo Plateau is on the near left, Cutoff Mountain on the distant right.
