"fossil" tracks

Old (probably a day or two) snowshoe tracks inverted by wind action. The compressed snow under the tracks remained behind as raised areas when wind blew the most of the snow away. Compare the fresh boot tracks near the foreground. Mt Monadnock, NH, March 2010
