The Shield and Needle comprise the left side of the range with the Prow below. Directly below the Needle is La Cueva Canyon with it's light-colored granite slabs. Down and to the left of the main summit is Muralla Grande, Yataghan, and several other rock faces. Below the main summit in the middle is the Thumb, and below the Thumb is Whiskey Ridge running down and left. Up and to the right of Whiskey ridge is a dark green, forested area called Domingo Baca Canyon. Straight up from the main line of the canyon is a red patch along the crest, which is where the top of the tram sits. The rock to the upper right of Domingo Baca Canyon is Jawbone. The Sangre de Cristos are on the horizon including Santa Fe Baldy and Lake Peak. April 21, 2012.
