Granite Peak on July 13, 2003. If you look close at the ridge crest just left of center, you can see a line diagonalling down and right from the shallow saddle. That line is the rough trail to the Tempest-Granite Saddle (for the East Ridge Route up Granite). The trail is rough because it traverses a steep talus field that's not all that stable.
