Northwest Ascent
We just moved to Anthem about 2 months ago. Trailhead off of 35th on a dirt road in very good condition. As of this writing a Real Estate sign was promoting 5 custom lots for sale. Hopefully will not impact access. The use trail was really all class 2. Only a couple of places were I needed to use my hands. Summiting was almost a surprise in getting up it fairly quick. Great view and glad it did it. Highly recommend.

Easier than I thought
I had driven by this peak countless times and finally decided on a whim today to climb it. Approached from 35th street and up the northwest side. The use trail was fairly easy to follow and the scrambling was fun but shorter than I had expected. Nice views, fun peak.
Route Climbed: West side Date Climbed: March 12, 1972
In my quest years ago to climb every notable peak around the Valley of the Sun, I did this peak. Rode my bicycle from Phoenix, climbed it and returned. I remember great views and steep climbing.
