As of July 2017, there is no camping or parking permitted along the county road up to Montezuma. Same story if you continue up the road toward Webster Pass, until you reach the point where it becomes FS road 285. There is limited dispersed camping available along the Peru Creek road nearby.
At this time, there is one stop sign in Montezuma. This is where you turn to go up the Santa Fe Peak Road (there is no sign on the road).
