Gorgeous George Benchmark
A stunning peak, the exclamation point on my week at Capital Reef. A perfect day, 68 degrees F with a cool breeze. The notes and photos by Dean were right on - I did not even need the GPS coordinates. And only one cactus spine piercing! I LOVE this peak!

George
There wasn't very much snow in Capitol Reef in late November. I agree with everyone else, this is a great peak.
Started at the Cassidy Arch TH, climbed Ferns Nipple, UN 7100 and George BM, ended at Golden Throne TH. Awesome tour!

Started from Capitol gorge TH
Boy, this was truly a fantastic experience. How many people ever climb this? Started from Capitol Gorge and as all the swarms of people flocked into the gorge we took the Golden Throne Trail and headed cross country past a small stream on top of Capitol Reef and climbed the final 800 feet to the summit.

Cross Country
Hiked with Greg on a warm day. There were all sorts of different rocks that I have never seen anywhere else. Very beautiful and awesome area to explore.

Trail & cross country
I truly enjoyed this hike/climb with my son in law, Andrew. Andrew is a huge fan of southern Utah and can never get his fill of this area. This was one of the places in Capitol Reef that he hadn't been to yet and it was really fun to have him with me on this one. It was Greg and Kadee that got us interested in visiting this one.
