With Rocky
Perfect weather for daks hiking. Been to long since last visit to range. The decent from Giant to Rocky was quite treacherous with slick rocks and mud. Great views from this peak!

Giant
Went up by the Ridge Trail and then over to Rocky Peak Ridge. Didn't get views on Giant because of the clouds but had clear views on RPR. Was at the peak of fall foliage so the views were even more spectacular. Did the hike in 6 hrs and had to be back at the trailhead at a certain time. Definitely want to go back, take my time and enjoy the scenery.

Great climb on a clear winter day
Even though it doesn't formally count as "winter" it was a great hike on hard snow pack and some ice. I brought our dog Lana and she had a great time. We continued on to Rocky Peak Ridge after reaching the summit of Giant.

Fun ascent via the Bottle Slide
We hiked up the Bottle Slide then climbed the headwall via the Bottleneck route. It was a short walk to the summit.

Giant & Rocky Ridge Peak
Combined Giant with Rocky Ridge Peak for a nice dayhike with some awesome views!!
We took Roaring Brooke Trail by accident with our collie/shepherd mix and it was a longer hike for the pup's first time. Lots of forest, forest and forest! A few glimpses during the last portion, but really nothing until you get to the summit (I assume). We had to turn around when we were nearly there as our dog was too tired to complete the scrambling near the summit. Not a trail I would recommend for first timers, dog or human. Still a great day in the Dacks, regardless! Maybe will try the other trail someday and reach the finish line!
The views from this trail are the best I have experienced. As you ascend you take in the cliffs of Round Mountain, then the Dix range and Great range begin to creep slowly into view. What a great place on a 68 degree day!

Zander Scott/Ridge trail
Steep but easy to reach for an Adirondack high peak due to close proximity to a road. Two hours and five minutes from trailhead to summit with plenty of exposed bedrock and bugs. I hit RRP afterwards.

Beautiful views
This peak offers beautiful view over the high peaks and is somewhat of a short hike for high peaks standard. Worth the hike for sure.
