We were looking for something to break up the drive home to Salt Lake from a couple days on the North Rim. This was a fun hike in a range I'd never been up in. Nice walk up top with expansive views above tree-line for a bit before you reach the actual peak.
As of July 2019 there is a (easy-to-miss) carbonite trailhead post/sign on the right/West side of the road, a couple hundred yards before you hit the first big switchback above 10K feet.

Lazy Sunday
Hiked only to Glenwood Mtn with Liz during hunting season so we wore bright clothes. There was a pullout with a kiosk but no trailhead sign. The trail is interesting in that it disappears frequently, which enhances the wilderness feel. There were rain clouds across the valley and in the Tushars but they didn't quite make it to us.

Nice hike
Way more snow than expected. The roads were either very muddy or had 6-8" of snow, but I was still able to drive higher than 11000' on this trip. Also went over to P11204. Earlier in the day did Monument Peak (11047) and Cove Mt (10709).
Took the obvious line up the couloir visible from Richfield, starting on Thompson Basin road. Both couloirs could be fun in the right conditions, but it was posthole hell for me. Trip report.

From the east
Thanks to this page, I had all the info I needed to get to the summit. Knowing that the trail would disappear and reappear was helpful but eventually I just headed for the ridgeline and then the summit. Also thanks for the heads up on the register, I might have not found it otherwise. Went out via Koosharem and the roads were good all the way.
