Relatively quick ascent compared to Raymond... a tad higher, but not nearly as fun. Beautiful views and a comfy summit area made for a good 50th peak for me!
I thought this was the official 50th peak I am logging on Summitpost. I have done more peaks, but I don't know exact dates, or the name of the mountain that I was on, or there isn't a Summitpost page for the mountain, either way, this was to make 50, and the Aspens a blaze below would have been really fitting. Added this with Mt. Raymond for a fun filled day! Happy almost 50th! Guess I better make 50 a great one!

Late Start
Solo hike/jog from Butler Fork. The weather forecast said 60% of rain and there was none of it. The north ridge is a little spicier than expected — slipped and cut my leg a tad. Took 2 hours and 40 minutes round-trip.
Hiked it via Alexander Basin with my wife. There were quite a few people on the trail, including a group of about 15 ~60 year-olds. We passed them, but several of them ended up passing us and beating us to the top. Those guys could climb!
A great day. Steep. Beautiful. Just a little patch of snow left in Alexander Basin.

Climbed via Butler Fork with my wife and the Wasatch Mountain Club. Beautiful ascent! The section from the saddle to the summit really gets the heart pumping! Great day in the mountains. Perfect weather!

Trail Runner Magic
I had been spending too much time on the bike commute to work eyeballing snowpack conditions on the western face of Gobbler's Knob between Baker Spring and Baker Pass and finally decided to take a chance when the green to white ratio was skewed more heavily in favor of green.
Ascended via Bowman's Fork trail and descended the same route via nice boot-ski short cut that connected the summit to the carpet soft trail.
Wish I had descended via Alexander Basin, as the snow looked fun and the trail looked empty.

Many Ascent
Many ascents of Gobblers Knob. Last time, trail run via Bowman's Fork, making Gobblers Knob before making way to Mount Raymond.
Alexander Basin is a far more interesting (albeit steeper/shorter) approach. Interesting limestone and shale/aggregate formations on display.

Butler Fork
Hiked Circle All Peak, Mount Raymond, and Gobblers Knob from Butler Fork with David. The aspen groves on the way up were some of the nicest I've seen, and the views at each summit were great as well (especially looking south towards Cottonwood Ridge). Mount Raymond was probably the coolest of the three (a couple easy short scrambling moves needed near the top). See "Everybody Loves Raymond" trip report for details.
via Alexander Basin. This trail doesn't mess around. Up, up, and away.

From Mill Creek
One of my first Utah peaks and a great day, though I learned a lesson about footwear. Desert hiking shoes do not cut it in the mountains. I had a scree rock knock my foot and had to limp down. Charming views and it was vibrantly shockingly green with wildflowers near the summit. I suggest for that reason going in June or July.

2/16/2013 via Bowman Fork. Appoached from the ridge opposite of Baker's Pass approach. Beautiful day, spent over an hour on the summit.
7/18/2011 via Bowman Fork.
First Ascent: It's been two years since I hiked this one - looking forward to hitting it again this year. What I remember most was running into what seemed like 5 or 6 false summits before getting to the genuine article. Great hike!
