Camped nearby and then explored Goblin Valley the next day. The kids loved climbing around all of the little alcoves and hoodoos, and kept talking about it well after the trip. Probably the best area around to let children have fun exploring.

Otherworldly Beauty
Been here on four separate occasions now, on three different trips. First, second, and third times, played Night Games in the goblins until super late, super fun and recommended--the first time I got lost, but that's another story--then, after the third, we stayed in one of the campsites nearby, which also have some fun little goblins to climb on if you're bored. The fourth time me and two other guys wandered out far into the goblins and discovered a neat little cave, big enough to easily fit all three of us--I also tagged the highpoint of the nearby white dome--then, later that day, me and two friends scrambled along the quite exposed yet incredibly fun ridge of goblins to the left as you head down from the pavilion. Climbing the goblins--in particular the tooth-like ridge mentioned above--is an experience unlike any other, this place is a must-visit!

Fun Place
Wandered around with my son Evan after a trip through Horseshoe Canyon.
In the Fall of 2005, and twice since, I've loved wandering in this place. Each time, I found myself rethinking all I thought I knew about our world.

Busy Time
We visited on a weekend during spring break. The parking lot was nearly full. The nearby boondock/dispersed camping was packed with people, but we managed to find a decent spot. My daughter, wife, and I had a lot of fun hiking around and enjoying the scenery.
nice camping, it was a great place to go when my son was little, and there is so much to explore...

Hide and Go Seek
Amazing area just to play around in. All the goblins are begged to be climbed on. We played hide and go seek under a full moon-that was fun!

Funny Park
Definitely one of the funniest parks I've been too. Saw some people on one of the white peaks in the back, but couldn't find the way to get up there, what a labyrinth! Anyways a great place!

Many times as a kid and teenager. Once came across a "nude ninja"--some guy standing on a hoodoo doing tai chi or practicing kung fu. Also once found a clay mask that somebody had made and then adherred to the sandstone in a small grotto in the depths of the valley.
There are many caves and crevices to explore--so much fun for kids.

Little bummedYeah, it's pretty cool. Yes, the rocks were nothing like you've ever seen. For all of that, I still got bored and only spent 3 hours exploring. Weird.
