Amazing work effort, Kris! Great history and well-defined beta. Thanks for submitting such a great page! Can't wait for the photos from Guyzo (ie Despairadoes)!
Thanks Dave. I can't wait to get the pictures up. They are being scanned professionally and we get 'em back Thurs. Guy took most of them and he'll do the posting.
Nice job with the page. Loads of info, but you might concider making the title Gorge of Despair rather than all caps. Nothing else out there is in all caps and it tends to... stand out.

Great page, though without pictures yet. I'll drop by latter. Is it really true that it is your first one? I tip my hat!
This looks like its going to be a great page. The info. is very thorough and interesting... looking forward to seeing some pics and finding out the height.
Thanks for your vote and feedback. Regarding the height, the canyon drops from around 9,500 ft down to about 7,000. The software for the site will not let me key in more than one number for elevation so it comes up as zero. I'll get as many summit elevations for the formations in as soon as I can...
Thanks for your vote, Deb. That's a great area and those were some "wild times in high places". Working out this page has made me want to go back for another fix..
Great page, Kris. Kudos to some Sierra rock hardmen for their accomplishments, & a hearty thanks for providing such in-depth, 1st hand information on one of the less-frequented areas in the Sierra!
Hi, definitely one of the less frequented. When Guyzo and I summitted on the Corporale Turret in '94 we were the fourth entry in the log including the FA from 1951 or so...
