I would seriously avoid the Dix range from now, (4/18/04) until mid may or so. The path in to the Slide Brook and Lilian Brook lean to's is TERRIBLE. To be honest, the path isn't even much of a path, its more like a small brook itself. There are MANY MANY parts that there is no option but to walk in the foot deep water. Not only water but the mud is also a factor. If you do attempt to get out there make sure to have gaiters for sure as well as gore-tex boots (i have xcr and still was soaked by slide brook). The trail seems to be getting worse as well, so I would not head in to the Dix's from this way for quite some time. But if you do, good luck!

Renamed Grace Peak

This was recently renamed Grace Peak by the USGS. Should rename the page accordingly.
