West Ridge
A great training climb. Rain / sleet at the bottom, some icy spots mid-mountain, and some deep snow on the ridge. Windy too. Had a 65lb pack on and took about 4 hours, 20 mins round trip. Only saw 2 other people out that day. Fun climb - I'll be back!
Hiked this one a few times from Mill Creek. Nice workout.

Late Fall Trip
Nice 5 mile round trip from Mill Creek Trailhead. The leaves were late-season fall (still pretty, just past prime). Trail was fairly well populated---probably 50+ people on a Saturday morning. Well worth doing!
2nd time. I think the first time was in Spring 2005. CF
3rd ascent on 2/9/13 in snowshoes. CF
4 - 6/2/18 W Grandeur
5 - 6/16/18 Millcreek Ridge CF>Aire Saddle Bushwhack hell
11/29/09 - Hiked with Eugene, Zack and Paul on the west ridge, but the latter two called it quits less than half a mile from the summit.
08/31/10 - Morning solo hike on west ridge. 64 min. from parking lot to summit. Had mountain completely to myself.

What a great hike, and so close to SLC. The views from on top are just outstanding and I really enjoyed spending a little time on the summit before heading back down. There was a group of five on the summit when I got there and many more coming up when I was heading back down.

I could not have asked for better weather. Coolish/warmish and sunny, great day. A little muddy up top and the snow is getting slick, but views of surrounding peaks and the Salt Lake metro are fine.
Climbed it several times from the west and Church fork

Church Fork Ascent
Beautiful day. We drove down from Ogden for this one. Hiked with my wife and twelve year old son. There was a lot of slushy granular snow for about the last 3/4 of a mile, which made for some uncomfortable postholing (we all had shorts on), but it was worth it. Great view. Spent about 30 minutes on the summit. The warm day (about 70 or so) made the descent slushy and muddy, but it is an awesome mountain, and we had a riot. Can't wait to do it again!

Climbed from Church Fork
Climbed from Church Fork this afternoon. Took the wrong trail down from the peak and had to bushwhack (in shorts) back to the correct trail. After getting all the crap out of my boots, had a nice run back to the car. 1 hour 45 min up, 1 hour 10 min down. Great views of Salt Lake and of the other beautiful mountains nearby!

Not a bad snowshoeing day. Some parts of the trail were pretty narrow and I occasionally got tripped up on some scrub. Once it opened up, though, snowshoes were definitely good to have.
