I've been up Granite many times in many seasons. Summer is too hot and crowded, winter requires snowshoes (ugh), spring has high avalanche danger, so my favorite time to climb is september. Less people and plenty of blueberries!

All kinds of different routes
This mountain can be climbed from just about any direction. A great early season conditioner, or a great late-season berry-fest. Avoid on hot summer days.

Cookies!
This was the second hike for my birthday weekend. Hot day, minimal snow. I met a ranger that was stationed that day named Susan. Awesome lady! She says that she normally has homemade cookies that she gives the hikers but unfortunately did not have any that day. So, when you go up, be sure to meet the ranger in case it is Susan!
