Tough finish
Ideal weather. A little tricky due to the fact we needed to hike all the way around the east side of the summit for an easier time reaching the summit. With better routefinding, it would have been easier. Still, a nice summit to reach.

Like a maze up there
ONce off the trail, it gets tricky to weave your way through the rocks, little gullies, brush and trees. Keep an eye out for ribbons and cairns, but expect a few places where hands will be needed. Otherwise, it was an awesome day hike!

A lot of rocks and cliffs!
Hiked with surgent. We hiked to the summit via the 261 trail and then scrambled to the top. The off-trail route was for the most part fairly easy to follow as there were some ribbons and cairns. Gorgeous warm day and great views from the top.

I found this to be a wonderfully aestethic climb, albeit one of the shorter routes on the mountain. Not suprisingly, the second pitch, rated 5.6 in the guide, was far from it. I would give it more like 5.8, due to some really smeary sections and one moderately difficult, thin seam. Sandbagged routes are par for the course for the area though. Don't try this climb or any others at the height of the day around this time of year-wicked sick hot!
Did the Trail and was amazed by the sheer cliffs on the mountain. My knee went out near the top of the trail. one of the people i hiked with gave me there hiking pole on the way down. It was very painfull. Hiked with members of hikearizona.com

To SummitRick Hartman led our party to the top via a use route that
is hard to follow in spots. Sjaak Vanschie claimed the
Netherlands first ascent (?).
