Re: YIKES!actually it is sort of beautiful and color ful.they dont bite but this is a female ...that needle looking thing behind is the organ that it uses to inject her eggs inside plants or tree skin.

As big as a bus?Thankfully the hiking pole gives the scale of the grasshopper, otherwise I would think that this bug is right out of science fiction movie...as big as a bus!
