Grays and Torreys by Moonlight

Nearly three years ago I hiked Kelso Mountain, a mountain with stunning views of Colorado's popular fourteeners Grays Peak and Torreys Peak. Ever since then I have had the desire to photograph this amazing view of the peaks under moonlight. Seeing that there would be a full moon over the weekend of 12/6, I jumped at the chance to make my way up to the mountains and finally capture the scene. I backpacked in from the freeway that Saturday and set up camp high in the basin below the peaks. After dark I hiked up the ridge between Torreys and Kelso and took this photo. What a beautiful night it turned out to be!
